□ Starting Over Again (2014) → pretty good (ka-relate ngano nag-break? haha) except for the corny part of the plot leading to the denouement. seriously, nahulugan ug support kay nag-emo? and sila jud duha, as in? or dapat ba jud naay something bad mahitabo sa bida to resolve the conflict? dapat melodramatic jud? lels, i'm fuming with rage and i'm letting it out on myself hahaha. why did you watch it by yourself ba :P has kevin seen it na kaya? i need to discuss! (-.-)
□ The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014)
□ The Hobbit (2012, 2013, 2014) → meh, not really pero yes na lang for sentimental reasons. i know interests are dynamic, they change depending on the materials you constantly perceive. but i was honestly surprised that i didn't have the "feels" while watching the hobbit, yet sobbed like mad when i finally watched the full documentary of the rosetta mission from launching to the philae landing. like, this is rather extreme, don't you think? seriously, ish?

□ リアル完全なる首長竜の日 (2013) → achievement unlocked! finally watched a japanese film without subtitles! (because i had no choice, i couldn't find a stream with subtitles, haha) the visual effects could be better but the plot is good and the twist was timely. i like it :)
□ Cloud Atlas (2012)
□ るろうに剣心 (2012)
□ Hugo (2011) → beautiful story (or else it wouldn't be on this list) and the soundtrack is very much reminiscent of the kind of music you hear street musicians play on random corners in europe. a mix of the sounds of violin, harmonica, and accordion bouncing off stone walls and cobbled streets. lovely :)

□ Sunshine (2007)
□ Pan's Labyrinth (2006)
□ Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005) → i'm not really sure what to say about this. it's both entertaining and boring, and both nonsense and sensible. MOSTLY entertaining, i skipped the parts which feels like those filler episodes on anime series. and it's so nonsense that it actually makes sense! but it offers an alternate perspective on existence it's actually profoundly intellectual to some extent. i actually watched the movie because the book is so wordy and makes an awful lot of side notes i used the movie to pick out scenes i would like to read more thoroughly, haha. but it IS fun, promise. here's to 42, towels, dolphins, tea, and petunias!
□ Match Point (2005)

TV SHOWS
□ Sherlock (BBC)
□ Fringe (Fox)
□ Game of Thrones (HBO)
□ News Cafe (9TV). noh, i never knew there's a tv station called 9tv in the philippines. there's always just the usual abs-cbn, gma, channel 5 which i'm not even sure of its proper station name, studio 24 which is managed by abs-cbn, and that station founded by willie. anyhow, the 9tv's news cafe program is very good judging by the episodes i've watched. their topics are wide, ranging from science, to politics, to entertainment and to be quite honest i'm judging it based on their interviews categorized under entertainment. what i like about it is that it focuses its topics on entertainment as an art and a promoter of culture rather than intriguing about the personal lives of entertainers and artists. so, yes, the next free time i get i'd watch another episode of news cafe.
