commuting to and from CHED manila

CHED manila is located near UP Diliman so, basically, the route we'll take will be from MRT Cubao (since I'm more familiar with it) or Marikina (since it is where my aunt lives), then head for UP, before taking another jeepney to CHED.

How to get to the Commission on Higher Education (Quezon City) from MRT:

  1. from Marikina City, take the jeep going to Cubao. I usually take the jeepneys marked "Silangan-Cubao" (fare Php18). from MRT Cubao, take the jeepney going to Marikina.
  2. get off at the jeepney terminal under Katipunan flyover.
  3. take the jeepney that goes inside UP campus. According to my aunt you have to make sure to ask whether it goes inside the campus. tell the driver to drop you off at the stop where jeepneys going to PHILCOA pass (fare Php8).
  4. take the jeepney going to PHILCOA. it has "PHILCOA" on the signboard. tell the driver to drop you off near CHED (fare Php8).
  5. walk to the CHED building. you have to cross the street because the jeepney passes on the other side of the road.

How to get to MRT from the Commission on Higher Education (Quezon City):

  1. walk towards PHILCOA bus/jeepney stop. take the overpass to the other side.
  2. ride the bus going to Cubao marked "Ibabaw".
  3. get off at Araneta Center and walk towards MRT Cubao station.
