the new year number game

13 - Thirteen is one of the smartest, prettiest, friendliest, best-smiliest, best-physicistiest, cutest, breath of fresh air when she's in the roomiest persons i know.

i decided to give it a try so i gave the number 13 to a friend. i was not disappointed haha. i miss you kuya. if i were to say something about you, it would be this:

<i don't even know where to begin. i've been looking at this page with my fingers on the keyboard for five minutes now thinking about our interactions in the past. hmm, this may be incoherent but i guess i'll start by writing out exceptional moments in bullet points.>

• highschool. me, a freshman, you, a junior. math month. contest in groups with two year level representatives each group. you actually gave us the opportunity to solve the problems and we weren't merely flowers to complete the group. we won, by the way :)
• highschool. i see you and your group of friends walk by every now and then. i always thought your batch was cool. and friendly, which makes you even cooler.
• college. me, freshman, you junior. you and ate adele still recognize me! i love you both.
• college. CSM-EC. jamming in the office after palakasan duties for the day.
• college. KMP officers. you were always one of the people i see anyone could trust to get the work done properly and on time.
• college. problem set tutorial sessions because i never ask tj anything studies-related. haha. pride IS my downfall.
• college. KMP/physics areas. you (and everyone else, actually) making sungog me to tj. haha.
• college. CSM lobby. we were watching tj and some other physics people playing table tennis (sir lou was the other player, if my memory serves me right). you telling me you think highly of our batch because i was in it.
• college. you crying because of the result of your thesis defense. i hugged you. you really don't deserve it.
• college. me, the KMP president. us talking about responsibilities. you giving advice about how to handle people, how to run the organization. you telling me i was doing a good job.
• kantahan sessions. chikahan sessions. you and your corny jokes. you and your inspiring little pep talks.
• sunday morning, rain is falling ♪
• you know, i observe people and try to emulate their good traits. i was observing you and every time i'd think, i am going to be as friendly to everybody as you. i am going to be as intuitive (with physics-related stuff) as you. i am going to be as reliable as you. i'm gonna practice playing the piano more because you play the guitar so well. haha. i admire your excellent grammar hahaha. but seriously, grammar matters a LOT. i admire most your passion for teaching and passion in passing on your knowledge and talent to others. i looked up highly to three people from your batch: you, ate adz, and tj. whatever i have accomplished in college, i want you to know you have been a great influence.

you never fail to see the best in me, sometimes i don't even think i deserve it. but thank you ^_^
